travel guides are now available!

travel guides do not work exactly the same way the reviews do. you can write one travel guide for multiple lands if they are geographically close to each other, and the same travel guide will be available for viewing in all the listings that you selected.

park owners CAN write travel guides of the area near and around their parks.

guides are broken into 6 sections: introduction, lodging, dining, repair shops, rental places, and things to do when you are not offroading.

only travel guide title is required, all the above sections are optional, which means you don't have to fill them all out. if you prefer, you can even write the whole guide in the introduction section and skip the rest. just like reviews, you can update your travel guides at a later time.

keep in mind that once the travel guide is submitted it may not be deleted, so choose your words wisely and make sure you spell everything right.

just like top reviewers, top travel guide writers will be featured on the front page.

enjoy!

to write a travel guide for multiple lands:

find a park/trail you want to write your travel guide for, go to its profile, click on "Write a Travel Guide" link at the top or at the bottom of the profile page.

there will be a CHECKBOX with "Add this travel guide to other Off Road Lands located in close proximity to [name of the park/trail]."

click on it, it will bring up all the parks/trails available. check the ones you are writing the guide for. if you are unsure you are selecting the right places, just click on their names, their profiles will open in a separate window.

click on "Add/Remove Lands" button after you selected the parks/trails you are writing travel guide for.

continue with the guide, click on "Submit" button when done.
